Geoffrey specialises in work in the international energy and natural resources sector; upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas transactions; corporate and commercial law - mergers and acquisitions, farm-ins/farm-outs, project development, joint ventures, shareholders' agreements, commercial agreements.
Geoffrey has advised on numerous projects and transactions in the international energy and natural resources field and has considerable experience of energy-related projects. In 1994 he opened the Firm's liaison office in New Delhi, India, and was resident partner there before returning to the UK in 1995. He has also worked extensively in the MENA region and was instrumental in the establishment of Ashurst's presence in the Middle East, initially in Dubai and now also Abu Dhabi and Jeddah. He was Head of Ashurst's Global Energy Team from 2004 2014.
