Career

Duncan is recognised as a leading Scottish defence litigator. He has over 20 years' experience defending clients from the Sheriff and District Courts to the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. He specialises particularly in complex cases including clinical negligence, product liability, non-recent abuse, professional discipline and inquiries.

Duncan is a solicitor advocate with extended rights of audience and is ranked by the leading legal directories in 3 different areas - product liability, clinical negligence and professional discipline. He has acted in some of the largest group litigations brought in Scotland in recent years.

Duncan is the training manager for our Scottish practice. He regularly delivers seminars on hot topics for clients as well as internal training seminars. Duncan is a member of the invitation-only International Association of Defence Council as well as the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers and the Forum of Insurance Lawyers. He sits on the Law Society of Scotland Accreditation Panel for personal injury specialists.
