Peter Scott is the Managing Partner of Norton Rose Fulbright for Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA), a role he was first appointed to in April 2020. Peter was reappointed EMEA Managing Partner for a second term in 2023.
Having trained with the firm and spending the first six years of his career as a general commercial litigator, Peter joined the antitrust and competition team in 2005 and was made a partner in the team two years later. Throughout his time at the firm, Peter has led our EMEA litigation and disputes team as well as our global antitrust and competition team.
Peter's legal practice focuses on all areas of contentious antitrust and competition law work, including High Court and Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) litigation, European Court proceedings and investigations by the competition authorities. He has worked on a number of leading and high-profile contentious competition law matters for global corporates and financial institutions.
Peter was also a member of the City of London's Socio-Economic Diversity Taskforce, a group of 30 cross-sector leaders from the financial and professional services industry, which issued a final report in November 2022 setting out a plan to boost socio-economic diversity at senior levels across the UK.
In 2022, he was named in The Lawyer's Hot 100 list and as one of Europe's top seven most innovative law firm leaders in the FT Innovative Lawyers Europe report.
