Career

Before its merger with Clyde & Co, Matthew was BLM’s senior partner between March 2018 and June 2022.

He has a broad practice specialising in a range of areas principal amongst which is his defence and advisory work on behalf of organisations and individuals including crisis response, accident investigation and the defence of regulatory and manslaughter prosecutions. He is a regular speaker on health and safety issues and compliance at client and industry events.

Matthew enjoys a truly national practice which also includes group litigation, sort and long tail disease and cases of the utmost severity including brain, spinal injury and amputation.
