Kate is an experienced Senior Associate and leads the Thames Valley litigation team whilst being a key contact for many of the firms corporate clients.
Kate represents and advises both employers and employees on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment related issues. She has extensive experience in negotiating sensitive and high value exits and also provides day to day advice for many of the firms corporate clients within a broad range of industries, including in respect of disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management, complex long-term sickness absences, business restructuring and reorganisation and settlement agreements. Kate regularly acts for clients within the financial, technology and manufacturing industries. She also heads up the team responsible for advising the firms network of franchise clients and provides day to day advice to these clients on all aspects of workplace employment law.
Although Kate is a mentor to those in the Thames Valley litigation team in respect of all litigation, her personal focus is in respect of complex discrimination, equal pay and whistleblowing claims. Kate also undertakes High Court Injunction work and has experience in respect of committal proceedings. Her cases typically involve complex points of fact or law and those with particular reputational/financial importance for clients.
In addition, Kate regularly conducts independent workplace investigations and reviews for employers into complex, sensitive and high profile employment issues. Recent investigations have involved allegations of bullying, sexual harassment and other forms of harassment at senior level.
