Claude is a member of Reed Smiths global environmental, social and governance (ESG) practice, focusing on its environmental and social aspects and helping clients develop their ESG strategies.
He is a leading authority in weather risk management, adaptive finance, green finance and the voluntary carbon markets.
Claude advises globally on the design and implementation of carbon registries and trading platforms, and on transactions using products to mitigate the effect of drought on agricultural economies and to assist in sustainable energy generation.
He advises on adaptive finance products to assist developing economies generate environmental resilience. He has worked on credit risk mitigants for Multilateral Development Banks and assisted commercial banks in developing sustainable finance strategies and products.
Active in social financing, Claude advises on the financing of educational projects in the developing world and works with NGOs to provide innovative financing and credit risk mitigation structures.
Claude is also a leading member of Reed Smiths derivatives practice, advising on both OTC and exchange traded derivatives. He frequently assists in developing new products and has been involved in a number of landmark deals and market firsts.
