Career

Richard is a 24 year PQE aviation lawyer specialising in a mix of contentious and non-contentious work across a range of areas of the market. Examples include aircraft and engine leasing, end of life arrangements, maintenance and aircraft management agreements, the air charter market and regulatory investigations. He is described by clients as “very knowledgeable, very informed and very balanced in that what he is putting forward is always from a customer-centric understanding”.

Richard joined REN Legal as a partner in 2019. He trained and qualified at CMS Cameron McKenna in 1996, and later led the Dispute Resolution team and the Aviation team as a partner at asb Law (2003-2013) . Prior to joining REN, Richard was a partner at Stevens & Bolton LLP (2013-2019) where he led the Aviation practice and served as head of the Commercial Litigation team.
