Partner in the asbestos department and manages the Liverpool office. Has specialised in asbestos disease claims for over 20 years. Acts for claimants in the UK with a specialist international practice acting for ex-pats in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Malta, etc. Reported cases include Dowdall v William Kenyon & Sons Limited [2014]. Involved in several high profile and leading asbestos test cases including Rice and Thompson v Secretary of State for Trade & Industry (2007) which created a precedent that enabled dockworkers to sue the government for asbestos disease. Has recovered substantial damages for several mesothelioma sufferers who incurred private medical costs for immunotherapy and other treatments. Recently settled a group claim for several Maltese mesothelioma victims against the MOD.
