Claire has expertise in all areas of white collar crime. She represents individuals in criminal, regulatory and internal investigations, particularly in the field of financial services where her previous experience as a senior lawyer at the FCA has provided her with an invaluable insight into the regulator’s processes and procedures.

Claire has successfully advised both suspects and witnesses in proceedings involving bribery, insider dealing, misleading statements and impressions, market abuse, conspiracy to defraud, and breaches of various regulatory regimes such as the SMCR, APER Principles for individuals, MAR and Money Laundering Regulations.

She also has extensive experience in international legal matters including multi-jurisdictional investigations (especially those involving UK/US), foreign regulatory and criminal cases, obtaining evidence from abroad and mutual legal assistance.

David is a financial regulatory lawyer with over 30 years of experience. David is ranked as a leading practitioner for non-contentious financial regulatory by the major independent legal directories, with clients stating that he “offers practical and robust solutions”, “has a good understanding of our business and provides focused, pragmatic advice” and “has rich product knowledge and deep understanding of the UK regulatory framework”.

David advises on a wide range of regulation and compliance matters including the regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions in the financial services sector. Cheryl is a Partner in our International Personal Injury team. She acts for clients who have been injured in incidents abroad – while on holiday, working abroad, travelling by coach, plane, car or sea, or undergoing surgery abroad.

Cheryl deals with complex, high-value claims, including brain and spinal injuries, multiple fractures, psychological trauma and fatal accidents and clinical negligence cases. She deals exclusively with cases which involve a cross-border element and specialises in conflicts of law issues.

Cheryl has a special interest in claims arising as a result of clinical negligence during cosmetic surgery abroad.

Geoffrey Kittredge is a partner in the London office of Debevoise & Plimpton, and Chair of the firm’s European Private Equity Funds Group. He focuses his practice on private investment fund formation.

Mr. Kittredge represents a broad range of international private equity and other private investment funds and their sponsors, including buyout, infrastructure, energy, credit, real estate, secondaries, and venture funds, as well as funds of funds.

Resident in Europe since 1999 and in London since 2002, he is a member of the Legal & Regulatory Council of the Global Private Capital Association (previously the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association), and is also a member of the Legal & Accounting Committee of the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association.

Mr. Kittredge received his B.A. in 1984 from the University of Virginia, his M.B.A. in 1992 from Columbia University in Finance and Business Economics and his J.D. in 1996 from New York University, where he was an Editor of the Law Review.
