Practice Areas

Emily is a specialist matrimonial and divorce lawyer who can advise clients on a variety of areas relating to family law. A Senior Associate in our Exeter office, Emily joined Foot Anstey in April 2020 from Ashfords.

Clients approach Emily for her advice as it relates to the various stages of a relationship, including cohabitation issues for non-married couples, married couples that are considering a separation and what affect this may have on their situations, to couples that have separated and are seeking a divorce.

Clients also approach her for help with drafting and concluding pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements in which she advises on preserving their important assets, such as property, in the event of a future divorce.

Emily also works with many clients who have children and want to make sure their best interests are protected during a divorce or separation. In addition, Emily has experience dealing with cross-border and inter-jurisdictional issues, for example where one parent lives or is moving abroad. She also advises grandparents and other family members who have an interest in a child’s wellbeing in this regard.
