Tahleel Lateef is a senior associate in the Freshfields disputes group in London.
He has a broad practice covering the full spectrum of contentious matters (including both litigation and arbitration) and internal and external regulatory investigations. Tahleel has experience advising clients on significant compliance issues, with particular expertise in advising on financial sanctions, trade sanctions, counter-terrorism financing and anti-money laundering matters. He advised a number of clients in responding to the complex sanctions compliance environment following the war in Ukraine. Tahleels broad practice allows him to assist clients across sectors and in sanctions adjacent areas (such as anti-money laundering), and he is able to advise clients as mandates evolve, whether to disputes or investigations. Tahleel has advised clients in disputes before the Crown Court, the High Court, Supreme Court, Court of Justice of the EU and also in commercial arbitration.
