Michael Dawes joined Bird & Bird in May 2023, prior to which he was a partner at Memery Crystal for 18 years, where he co-headed the natural resources team and served as Head of Corporate from 2015-2019. He is an expert at advising on complex international corporate transactions.

His main focus is on equity capital markets, public M&A and private equity investments, usually for clients in the natural resources and technology sectors. He provides strategic legal advice to mining, energy and technology companies, sector-focused funds and financial advisers who are active in London’s capital markets.
