Laura specialises in intellectual property dispute resolution with a focus on patent litigation. She has more than 15 years experience of litigating patents across the industry spectrum, with a particular focus on innovator pharmaceutical products and technology / electronics (predominantly for implementers). She also has considerable expertise in advising major pharma clients on SPC challenges and strategy from both a legal and regulatory perspective.
Laura is presently working for some of the worlds leading technology, biotech and pharmaceutical companies on projects at the leading edge of scientific knowledge. She is co-ordinating multiple disputes across Europe and beyond, as well as representing clients before the English courts and the EPO. Laura also advises clients in the technology sector on patent disputes at the interface of competition law and IP, particularly in relation to FRAND obligations and the impact of those obligations on obtaining relief
As well as being a qualified lawyer, Laura holds a Masters in Chemistry from the University of London and has research experience from the Royal Institution of Great Britain in the electronic and magnetic properties of solid state materials. Clients appreciate her deep technical understanding alongside pragmatic and strategic approach to legal issues.
