Karen Dance is a partner based at our Glasgow office.

With more than 30 years of experience, Karen is highly skilled in all aspects of casualty litigation. She specialises in acting for the defender, ordinarily on the instruction of insurers, in the Scottish courts and in dealing with claims pre-litigation. In addition to acting on behalf of insurers, Karen acts for self-insured entities, commercial companies and professionals.

Karen is particularly experienced in dealing with catastrophic injury and large loss claims, spanning the entire range of bases for liability including employers’ liability, public liability and motor liability.

Karen also has niche expertise in handling claims arising from fatalities.

Aside from casualty work, Karen is noted for her expertise in dealing with professional negligence claims, especially those involving alleged veterinary negligence.

Karen regularly presents to clients and market contacts on legal issues within her areas of specialism and has had articles published in the Scotsman newspaper and insurance industry publications.
