James leads Baker McKenzie’s London Funds Group and sits on the Firm's Global Funds and Financial Institutions Steering Committees. He has experience in fund formation across real estate, private equity, infrastructure and environmental markets. He also has extensive deal experience in private equity real estate, private funds secondaries, end of life portfolios sales, fund restructurings and GP-led buyouts.

As well as advising fund managers, he counts many large institutional investors amongst his clients including pension funds, private investment firms, family offices and sovereign wealth funds. James co-leads the Firm's Sovereign Investors Group and its relationship with the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds with whom Baker McKenzie has an exclusive partnership for the provision of Legal and Regulatory knowledge services.
