Emine Mehmet is a Director of Family and Child Care at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. Emine specialises in a broad range of private and publicly funded (legal aid) family and childcare matters including care proceedings acting for children, whether through their guardians or direct, and parents, private law children disputes, and domestic abuse matters.

She is committed to assisting the most vulnerable and ensuring access to justice, as such she is the Head of the Duncan Lewis Pro Bono Committee which has received numerous industry awards in recognition of its excellent work. Emine supervises a large team of child panel members, solicitors, trainees and caseworkers across the company’s London offices. Emine’s contribution towards establishing a student pro bono clinic earnt her an Honorary Fellowship from the University of East London in 2022.
