A partner in the litigation department, specialising in pursuing personal injury and medical negligence claims, David is one of the firm’s Risk Assessment Partners for speculative actions. He has successfully resolved a significant number of claims acting for injured claimants with damages recovered ranging from several thousand pounds to 7 figure settlements. Current cases include pursuing a claim for a paraplegic client valued at ?7.8 million and another for a client who suffered catastrophic brain injury in a car accident with a likely value in excess of ?10 million. He acts for the largest teachers union in Scotland, the EIS, and regularly advises their members who have been involved in workplace accidents or have suffered from stress as a result of working conditions. He has raised a number of actions for stress claims and as a result clients have recovered damages.
