Chris practices environmental and commercial real estate law. He advises on contaminated land transactions; environmental liability and real estate issues in the business restructuring context; environmental permit issues; waste and water resources laws; infrastructure project issues, including compulsory purchase; WEEE, RoHS and REACH regulations and product compliance; carbon reduction and climate change, health,and safety issues, (including HSE investigations); noise and odour nuisance; and environmental liability insurance. He handles the structuring of brownfield contaminated land transactions, advises on renewable energy projects, and oversees environmental due diligence in corporate and real estate transactions and on landlord and tenant matters. Chris also counsels clients on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters . Chris has experience in the energy, waste, chemicals, industrial, automotive, building products and mineral sectors as well as acting for property developers and investors.
