Information about the specialist
Practice Areas
A family law and divorce specialist, Alistair has particular interests in technically difficult financial remedy matters, private children matters and arbitration.
Alistair's financial cases have often including complications arising from international elements, jurisdictions outside of England and Wales and sophisticated asset and trust structures. He is an expert in private children matters, including applications for leave to remove, and disputes concerning day-to-day arrangements for children.
Alistair has acted in a number of arbitrations, including the Court of Appeal case of Haley v Haley [2020] in which he was successful in establishing, for the first time, that the test to challenge a family law arbitration is the same as an appeal of a family court decision. Alistair acts for a wide range of clients, including business owners and individuals working in finance in London. He is often instructed to draft and advise on pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
