Career

Rob is a Partner in our healthcare team. He has specialised in medical defence litigation for over 25 years, acting for both medical malpractice insurers and NHS bodies. He has specific delegated authority for NHS Resolution.

Rob deals with and supervises a wide range of claims, including high value obstetric and neurosurgery claims and complex Human Rights Act claims. He has successfully defended numerous cases at trial. He regularly negotiates periodical payment settlements for NHS Resolution and was recently involved in a case involving a German indexation for periodical payments.

Rob is experienced at inquests, and has carried out the advocacy in various high profile inquests including prison inquests. He advised the London Ambulance Service in the inquests into the London Bombings deaths of 7 July 2005, one of the largest inquests ever to take place in the UK.

Rob lectures extensively on both claims and risk management issues.
