Oliver Thorne heads up Slee Blackwell's clinical negligence team.

In June 2023 he had the honour of being appointed to the AvMA Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel. AvMA (Action Against Medical Accidents) is an independent patient safety charity that was set up in 1982 to provide advice and support to patients and their families who have been affected by a medical accident.

Oliver has achieved many high-value settlements and has attracted extensive media coverage. He is known as a campaigning lawyer who fights in particular for the rights of mothers and babies who have been let down by our maternity services.

He also specialises in representing the families of medical negligence victims at inquests.
