Lucy Pert offers 20 years of commercial dispute resolution experience gained in the worlds leading litigation practices. Her practice covers financial services, contentious restructuring, insolvency and shareholder disputes. Lucy has considerable experience of managing international cross-border litigation, working frequently in all English courts, including the appeal courts. She has also conducted a number of commercial arbitrations under the LCIA, ICC and ad hoc rules.
Lucys clients include high net worth individuals, hedge funds, private equity houses, local authorities and insolvency practitioners, often acting adverse to large financial institutions. During 2022, she has helped businesses that suffered loss because of the COVID 19 pandemic, including representing companies seeking pay out under business interruption insurance. Other key cases often have a fraud or finance angle.
Previously a Director of Litigation Funding for a leading global third-party litigation funder, she is well placed to advise clients on litigation funding matters, including strategies for understanding and securing third party funding. In June 2022, Lucy was appointed to the London Chamber of Arbitration and Mediation (LCAM) Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Act 2022 Arbitrator Panel. Lucy is qualified in England and Wales and admitted to the bar in New York. She speaks fluent French.
Lucy chairs the firms Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and is an avid speaker on the commercial disputes circuit.
