Ian has over 25 years' experience in advising charities, housing associations and local authorities and has established himself as a trusted adviser on charity law, governance, corporate and regulatory issues.

Specialising in charity and not for profit law and regulation Ian is often called upon to advise on the corporate aspects of their operations including the establishment of new organisations, mergers and restructures of organisations and groups including business reviews to ensure that they are fit for purpose.

Ian also advises on governance and assurance arrangements, the implications of charitable status and regulatory requirements including the requirements of registration with and regulation by the Charity Commission and the Regulator of Social Housing.
