Practice Areas

Deborah practises exclusively in matrimonial finance. Her particular expertise and interests lie in complex asset structures, family businesses, tax trusts and pensions.

She is a Resolution accredited specialist (pensions and complex financial remedies) who spent many years working in London for prestigious firms such as Hughes Fowler Carruthers and Payne Hicks Beach, before relocating to the South Coast in 2001.

Deborah enjoys getting to grips with a challenging matter which involves a keen analytical eye, close attention to detail and a clear strategic overview. Whilst she is always keen to explore non-Court routes to settlement, she is happy to roll her sleeves up and litigate if that is what is required for the right outcome. Recent matters involve setting aside a bankruptcy on the grounds of fraud and a staggered buy out of a jointly owned, valuable financial services business, which involved working closely with insolvency and corporate colleagues.

Deborah is also an accredited mediator with a thriving practice and a collaborative family lawyer.

In her spare time she plays bridge competitively and enjoys attending Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra concerts.
