Information about the specialist
claire.blakemore@withersworldwide.comPractice Areas
Claire gets to the heart of situations fast, giving reliable indications of best outcomes and working out a plan to get clients to their desired outcome from the outset. Claire is a long standing mediator and collaborative practitioner but is not shy of using her vast litigation experience and taking a tough line in contested cases when required.
Recognising the need for new ways of resolving disputes, Claire created an innovative method by which couples can reach resolutions in a non-positional way. Uncouple provides a means of reaching resolutions without going to Court and working in a solution focused way with couples. The process was approved by the SRA and is a first for family law.
Whether working with domestic or international clients, she deals with complex financial claims, children issues and pre/post-nuptial agreements. She has far-reaching knowledge of trust and divorce law and is regularly instructed on cases involving trusts, whether acting for one of the parties or for the trustees, either as part of the financial remedy proceedings or in respect of enforcement proceedings.
