Information about the specialist
christopher.parsons@moorebarlow.comPractice Areas
I am an associate solicitor within the Corporate Restructuring & Insolvency team, which sits structurally within Paris Smiths Business Disputes department.
My day-to-day practice encompasses all aspects of:
- bankruptcy & insolvency litigation;
- restructuring; and
- insolvency law and practice.
This work includes matters relating to rights of trustees and liquidators, rights of bankrupt individuals and associated third-parties, directors misfeasance, transactions at an undervalue, preferences and transactions defrauding creditors.
I am the head of R3s Southern and Thames Valley New Professionals subcommittee, having been appointed in December 2019.
My work on bankruptcy and insolvency matters is supplemented by a general litigation practice which covers:
- commercial disputes;
- contract disputes; and
- debt recovery.
Whilst it is not always possible to prevent disputes from escalating to the point of proceedings being issued, my strong understanding of the court process allows me to help advise clients as to their available options; which may include alternative forms of dispute resolution, such as mediation or further negotiation.
