Alison is a Solicitor Advocate and a Director of Switalskis Solicitors. Her area of expertise is in representing clients in Health and Welfare cases, including best interest decisions. She also deals with challenges to Depravation of Liberty.

Alison represents individuals lacking capacity in decisions concerning residence and care. She also has experience of complex issues surrounding consent to sexual relations.

As an experienced Court of Protection specialist Alison works with clients across the region. She also heads Switalskis combined Court of Protection and Mental Health department.

Alison is passionate about her work. She is well regarded in the field and is regularly instructed as an Accredited Legal Representative on behalf of P, ensuring they are able to participate effectively in proceedings.

Alison also acts on behalf of family members. She has significant Children Act Law experience, which enables her to negotiate tricky crossover issues arising in COP cases where young people are involved.
