Mary is experienced in all areas of family law, both nationally and internationally, including financial matters, pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and divorce.
She has a particular emphasis on serious children cases, and is also recognised for her expertise in handling complex financial proceedings including family companies, partnerships, trusts and pensions with assets in excess of ?1 million.
Mary stands out amongst her peers in terms of conducting her own advocacy, and is often singled out for her expertise in complicated cases often with a jurisdictional nature. Her particular expertise in international divorce and family law often involves legal and financial disputes in different jurisdictions. She has represented clients living permanently or temporarily overseas across a broad range of territories including the Far East, South Africa, Canada, France and Guernsey.
Mary has over 25 years experience practicing family law. She is a member of The Law Society Children Panel, and was previously President of the Birmingham Law Society.
