Jane is head of the Clyde & Co healthcare advice practice group, based in the Cardiff office. She has been ranked in the directories for a number of years. She acts for healthcare defence organisations on behalf of their members, insurers on behalf of their insureds and private clients and defends healthcare professionals before their regulators, including General Medical Council, General Dental Council, General Pharmaceutical Council, Nursing and Midwifery Council, General Optical Council and the Health and Care Professions Council. Jane also represents healthcare professionals at NHS Wales and NHS England performers list hearings and represents healthcare professionals before the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber of the First Tier Tribunal.

Jane acts for healthcare professionals facing disciplinary investigations and hearings before their employers in the NHS and private sector.

She regularly advises and represents healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations at inquests as an advocate. She also represents healthcare professional and organisations at public inquiries.

She is a member of a dedicated team who act for healthcare professionals faced with criminal allegations, including gross negligence manslaughter, sexual assault including) historic allegations of sexual assault), voyeurism and fraud.

Jane also advises on safeguarding and mental health issues.

She is frequently instructed to advise on CQC investigations.

This experience allows Jane to see the whole picture for healthcare professionals who are often facing multifactorial investigations.
